Inventory with Drone

Computer vision-based tool that allows automating inventory management in high-rise warehouses.

The Inventory with Drone has the functionalities of the Intelligent Inventory. Its characteristic is that it integrates with the images captured from a Drone. It allows audits and inspections to be carried out with agility, being able to extend the documentation of a video or image to the client as an added value.

There are two ways to steer the drone. The first, and most common, is using a controller, and the second is setting a flight course automatically. Once in flight, the drone’s camera captures the information from the labels incorporated into each cargo unit to control stock.

Using a drone as an auxiliary tool for inventory management has very notable advantages:

  • Increased productivity: the drones obtain the images so that our intelligent inventory system reads the labels and thus controls the inventory simply by flying through the aisles of the warehouse. Greater control and reliability of the inventory: drones prevent an operator from having to periodically review the inventory manually, something equally susceptible to human errors.
  • Increased safety: operators will no longer have to deal with tedious and sometimes not very ergonomic tasks. In addition, the use of drones makes it possible for the work aisles to be less traveled, promoting a safe movement of the handling equipment.
  • Reduction of costs: the costs derived from annual or periodic inventories are higher than they seem: dedicated personnel, work time, complete interruption of the activity, wear of maintenance equipment, etc. With a drone, we can optimize resources and operators can focus on enhancing other logistics operations.
