Algo Labs Smart Inventory
Detection, counting and positioning of objects and merchandise with labels in real time with documentary traceabilitySmart Inventory
Computer vision-based tool that automates inventory management by detecting, counting, and positioning objects or merchandise with labels in real time.
The Intelligent Inventory with computer vision allows for traceability of inventoried objects through image or video protection. Organizations often employ barcodes, RFID scanning, and other technologies to record movement in and out throughout the life cycle of stock. However, through Intelligent Inventory with computer vision, inventory management processes can be carried out more efficiently and on a large scale.
The Smart Inventory with computer vision applies to the following situations:
- Counting in warehouses or distribution centers
In both a raw materials and finished goods storage area, computer vision can be used to automatically count and feed that data at regular intervals, thus eliminating the routine inventory process. - Count during the movement of goods
During inbound and outbound movement, or during the receiving or shipping process, camera and video feeds can capture images from different angles at entry and exit doors, or staging areas between the doors and storage. Our solution can process this data and help run the automatic inventory count, using it to cross-validate with the information in the shipping or receiving orders. This can help avoid costs associated with lost property due to counting errors. - Monitoring of the stock that feeds the production line
The data can be analyzed to guard against stock-outs of any merchandise needed for production. Alerts can be triggered when inventory or stock levels fall below set thresholds. This could be particularly useful for a regular production warehouse that is responsible for maintaining a continuous supply of material on a production line.
